"The
effect is of poorly recorded but great old garage-rock singles
coming over a transistor radio that somehow distorts voices into
a desperate yelp."
-- CMJ
Formed
in the summer of 1994 in Cabbagetown, GA from the remnants of
the Jody Grind, DQE, Opal Foxx Quartet.
Orbisonic
reverb-drenched art-billy bummer rock. Joy Division meets The
Ventures and picks up Roy Obison along the way. A wild ride from
the perversions of the gallantry of South Harlem. Desperate rock
for desperate times. The next stop on the Mystery Train - more
songs, more caterwaling, more sweat. The second album by the Rock*A*Teens
is as dramatic as the first.

Rock*A*Teens
- s/t
A twitchy, trashy, off-kilter, lo-fi, threee guitar, no
bass blend of noisy x-like punk, 60's garage-rock caterwaul,
crazed girl group harmonies, and echoing, cramps-like surf/rock
a billy roar...

Rock*A*Teens
- Cry
"Drawing from 50's rockabilly, through the likes of
the Kingsmen and the more recent works of The Cramps &
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, they conjure up the sound of
an AM radio playing in a battered Chevy. It's a desperate,
earthly stew infused with the atmosphere of a debauched,
drunken party." -- JAM
